Waxy’s has a variety of areas available to book for groups from 25 to 120 guests including two private bars available for hire. You could even hire the entire venue exclusively as we can hold up to 700 people.
Each area has its own atmosphere and personality making them very adaptable for all types of occasions. We cater for birthdays, leaving dos, retirement parties, engagements, anniversaries, reunions, corporate events and of course Christmas parties! We’ve even been known to host meetings and team activity days so whatever you’re looking for don’t hesitate to ask!

Harp & Toucan Rooms
Right at the heart of the venue – two separate, raised mezzanine areas located opposite the Church bar, giving you a view of our live music and great access to the bar. Ideal for work drinks and smaller gatherings.

Rupert St. Mezzanine
An intimate area without being isolated, it is located on the first level of the Rupert Street bar. Very popular with smaller groups and offers panoramic views of the whole pub.

The Cottage Bar
Ideal for parties, this is a spacious area with a private bar and two entrances. As it is located just behind our Church Bar it is a perfect space for livelier functions as it allows for the atmosphere of the pub to filter through.

The Dargle Bar
A perfect area for private functions, either for business or pleasure. It’s located on the lower level and looks up into the Tree Room that houses our famous Beech Tree. The space has its own restaurant, entrance, and bar.

Waxy's Little Sister
Located across the road from Waxy O’Connor’s on the corner of Wardour and Lisle Street, it carries on the Waxy O’Connor’s theme with the Sofa Gallery overlooking the bar downstairs. A bright and airy venue during the day with candles creating an intimate and cosy environment in the evening.
